X-Series 2004 Tournament Rules
You must agree to all X-Series tournament rules
to be taken to the tournament entry forms.

Participation is open to teams paying the $60.00 yearly team
membership fee due before fishing their first event. Entry fee
for each event is $166.00, which includes a
$10 automatic entry for BIG bass.
XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries  2.  XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries
Teams paying for half of the entire season (1/2 of
six qualifying events = $498.00 non-refundable)
before April 15, 2004 will receive a free membership.
($220 entry for the championship will be collected seperately)
Balance for each event ($83.00) is due the
Monday before each tournament.

Teams must have their entry forms and money in by the
Monday prior to the tournament. Pre-entered teams will draw
for boat numbers at registration the morning of the event,
after boat check. Last boat check for regular flights will be
15 minutes prior to first flight. Late entrants will be accepted
up to 1/2 hour before the first flight time and received assigned
boat numbers. Late registration fee is an additional $20.00.
Late arrivals will receive boat number after last flight.

You may fish by yourself provided that all team requirements
have been met. NO alternates will be allowed.

All state and local laws will be observed and obeyed.

All contestants MUST wear Coast Guard approved PFD's
when gasoline motor is running.

All boats must have all required safety equipment and be
equipped with ignition kill switch. Horsepower must not
exceed the original Coast Guard rating plate or sticker.

All boats must have a working livewell.
XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries  9.  XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries
A (5) five-fish limit will be observed. Sixth (6th) fish must be
culled immediately. NO culling at check-in. Teams posessing
more than 5 fish will be disqualified. Only largemouth, smallmouth,
or spotted bass are acceptable at weigh-in. All fish must measure
12-inches unless local regulations require otherwise. Short fish will
be disqualified and receive a one-pound penalty per short fish
assessed against remaining legal fish. Dead fish or fish in
extremely poor condition will have an 8-oz. (1/2 pound)
penalty per fish assessed against total weight.

Any protest must be presented in writing to the
tournament director before prizes are awarded.

All bass must be caught with rod and reel. Fishing must be done
from registered boats. Only artificial lures are acceptable. Only one
rod and reel may be used at any one time. Trolling is prohibited.
XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries  12.  XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries
No off-limits will be observed prior to event unless announced in
advance. Contestants may fish anywhere on tournament waters
except areas designated by tournament officials. Any contestant
caught fishing in off-limit areas will be immediately disqualified.

All boats must check in on time with the check boat. Check-in
boat will keep the official time. Teams reporting late will be
assessed a one-pound per minute penalty and will be
disqualified after five (5) minutes. Teams not catching
fish must still report to the check-in boat.

Tournament officials reserve the right to adjust the
tournament times or cancel the event after a lengthy delay
due to hazardous/dangerous conditions. Cancelled events
will be re-scheduled.

Tournament officials reserve the right to refuse entries from teams
practicing dishonest methods in any previous tournament(s).

Tournament officials reserve the right to interpret or
amend rules when deemed necessary.

2004 X-Series Scoring
XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries  1.  XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries
Points will be awarded to teams weighing fish in a descending order
corresponding to their finish. 150 points will be awarded to the
team finishing first, 149 to the second place team, and so forth.
XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries  2.  XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries
All teams fishing qualifying events will automatically
receive 25 participation points.
XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries  3.  XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries
Team catching BIG bass of each individual event will receive
an additional 5 points. In the case of a tie both money and
points will be equally split.
XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries  4.  XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries
In case of a tie in a qualifying event, teams will split the points
and/or money of the position in which the tie occurs and the
neXt position lower. (i.e. tie for second place would split
second and third place points and money
)
XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries  5.  XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries
Points championship will be determined by combining the
total points for the best 5 out of 6 qualifying events
during the regular X-Series season.
XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries  6.  XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries
All teams fishing at leat 3 qualifying events and paying for
all 6 qualifying events are eligible to fish in the
2-day championship event.
XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries  7.  XseriesXseriesXseriesXseriesXseries
Championship team winner will be determined by the
two-day accumulative weight total.

In the case of a tie for first place of either the championship
event or points, a fish-off will be required. The tournament
officials will determine the specific time and place.
